If you come across some cute decorative cord like we did, and have a child's room to play with... why not use it to decorate their light shade for a very pretty effect!
Here's how we did it:
Drilled holes evenly around the bottom edge of a plastic light shade.
We purchased some fine cord which had pretty fairylike flower shapes and beads already attached and we merely cut it into the lengths we wanted.
From the underside of the shade, fed the top end of a length of cord through the hole, and secured it by tying on a colored bead to hold it in place.
We then continued with the other lengths of cord, varying the height of the flowers for a pleasing effect.
This pretty light shade will please any little girl!
