How to make a devinely rich and dark chocolate cake. This cake is child's play to make:)

Ingredients for making a rich and dark chocolate cake

Cake ingredients

3 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of cocoa
2 teaspoon of baking powder
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 cup of milk
1 cup of vegetable oil
3 eggs

Frosting ingredients

1/4 pound of soft butter
5 cups of confectionery sugar
1 cup of cocoa
Milk to mix frosting to soft consistency

Making the cake

Step 1.

Sift all the dry ingredients for the cake into a large bowl

Sift all the dry ingredients for the cake into a large bowl.

Step 2.

adding ingredients to the cake mix

Add all the wet ingredients including the eggs into the dry mix.

Step 3.

mixing ingredients for the cake

Using a whisk mix all together until smooth (kids just love doing this).

Step 4.

putting the cake mix into the baking tin

Put in a well-greased 9-inch spring form cake tin and bake at 375°F for 40 minutes.

Making the Frosting

Step 1.

suger for the icing

Sift the confectionery sugar into a bowl.

Step 2.

Sift in the cocoa.

Step 3.

adding butter to the icing

Add the soft butter and using a wooden spoon mix together.

Step 4.

Add milk as required until you have a nice soft consistency.

A quick and effective way to frost your cake once it has cooled is to cover it completely with frosting and then using the flat side of your knife drag it up the sides so the frosting forms a peak in the middle. (Refer to photo)
