This is the best tapas bar I have come across yet. It is located in Barceloneta, hidden in a small street and has opaque doors, which makes it easy to miss if you are not in the know! Inside is a uniquely narrow, lively and always crowded restaurant, with fantastic dishes. You may have to stand for a while and shout out your orders while you keep an eye out for people to leave their stools, but the standing and waiting is worth it! It has the yummiest authentic tapas I have ever tasted, and cheap prices, too.

It is usually filled with locals rather than tourists and the waiters are all dressed in sailor suits. You will soon see why it is so packed after you have sampled your first tapa. Try my favourite there - sirloin pieces which melt in your mouth, with small green peppers and salt. This dish in Spanish is 'Solomillo de Ternera'. It isn't a tourists' restaurant, so you will want to write down or learn how to say a few names, or you can point at your choice from the selection of tapas they have on display. Also, as it is a 'Cerveceria', they have some great specialty beers on tap! However these aren't so cheap.
