How to make a stencil platter

For this platter we wanted a delicate look, so what could be more charming than a faux-lace finish?
It was very easy to create this pretty platter and also shows that simple can be beautiful!

Material list
1. Wooden platter from your local craft shop

3. Protective Gear: mask and gloves
4. Old, large cake tin
5. Cover for work surface protection
6. Straw
7. White acrylic paint
8. Blue spray paint (or color of your choice)
9. Lace stencil (paper or fabric) - we use an old fabric table cloth
